No Touching
A Butch/Femme Contemporary Erotic Novella
Summer Albrecht, a new resident of Winter Falls, Florida, has been invited by her roommate Cassia Keller to a local women's theme party. The hostess, Cassia tells her, holds these socials—which are great fun—every three or four months and are a great way to meet women. While Summer isn’t particularly interested in meeting anyone—having suffered a bitter, acrimonious split with her ex right before she moved to the area from Virginia Beach—the party sounds like fun, especially with its theme of “No Touching,” a nod to some of the bar policies of the late 1950s.
Maren Price, a native of Winter Falls, always loves her friend Nickie's theme parties and is particularly looking forward to this one. Black studs in the 1950s dressed more formally than their white counterparts and it has been a long time since Maren has been able to put on a suit and strut her stuff. Single—with a reputation as a player that she doesn't really deserve—Maren is nonetheless ready to have some fun with all the beautiful femmes who will be there.
When Summer arrives at the party and finds out the night’s challenge includes seducing your assigned partner—using no physical contact whatsoever, only words—she panics and tells Cassia she is going home. But her partner Maren soothes her, saying she and Summer can just hang out together with no pressure. They can get themselves a drink, sit outside in a safe corner by themselves, and simply talk.
Plain conversation eventually turns into very mild flirting, however, and continues until it catches fire—the dialogue slowly building and building and building into incendiary flames of heat. By the time the party is over, both Summer and Maren are in an agony of need, wanting nothing more than to spend the rest of the night with each other, assuaging their desires. But Summer must decide if taking the risk after the pain of her recent breakup—and the jealous, nasty threats of Maren’s vindictive ex—are worth breaking the rules of no touching and putting both her heart and Maren’s career on the line.
Even with the tantalizing promise of an ecstasy that could bind them together for all time. dead.
